Saliva testing is the most reliable way to measure levels of free hormone in the body. Free hormone is the only type that does its job at the cellular level. Most blood tests measure total hormone level – both free and protein bound hormones. The protein bound hormone is not free to do its job at the cellular level and consequently is of almost no value. Saliva testing measures only free hormone so that we can precisely determine your exact hormone needs.
